The Lucy Homes Team

Lucy Homes was established in 2004 and has grown exponentially since then. In addition to the many dozens of beautiful custom designed homes which have been built over the years, the Lucy Team has also built numerous commercial projects including multi-level apartments, a church, office warehouses, and factory facilities.

As a young man, Florin worked hard in the building industry, gaining significant on-the-job experience in a number of roles while studying diligently with a key focus on learning the skills of quantity surveying. This has become a vital skill in his career which enables him to accurately assess the cost of building any given residential or commercial project.

We have a dedicated team, and we’re expanding in our key South Australian market. Our experienced Management team is equipped with skills across Lucy Commercial’s Pillars of Management, and this comprehensive and integrated approach enhances your asset’s position in the marketplace.

Managing Director

Florin gained significant on-the-job experience while studying with a key focus on quantity surveying. This gave him the opportunity to hone his skills when it comes to all factors of commercial construction, including detailed planning, cost assessment and control, and project supervision. These skills allowed him to open his own business, with the goal of having his whole family run it one day.

With years of experience in the industry, Florin was able to establish a team of highly qualified individuals dedicated to building quality outcomes for all their clients and stakeholders. He is very hands-on and works with the whole team to make sure they deliver their promises to their valued customers. This business allowed him to build a strong network of suppliers and consumers, ensuring the best value and quality workmanship at all times.

Florin believes that no project is too big or small, and his passion is to always give warm and genuine service to all his customers.

General Manager / Finance

Lucy is the name behind the business and the first official employee of Lucy Homes since 2004. Her roles encompass managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business along with overseeing employees and running the office. She is passionate about every aspect of this business and always looks for ways to improve its processes and systems.

Lucy is an expert when it comes to preparing annual budgets and forecasts as well as managing the monthly finances and operational reports for the business. She also liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a high standard of financial reporting and compliance is maintained at all times.

She is known to be very warm, caring, and with a bubbly personality, that’s why everyone loves her, including our employees.

David Tula

David Tula

Project Manager

David has been working in the construction industry for over 8 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. He has extensive experience when it comes to projects involving residential, commercial, industrial, and even government sectors. He is known for his big projects on retirement entities such as Retire Aust, ECH, ACH, Rest Haven, and ElderCare.

David worked closely with village managers and corporate staff specializing in patient care and logistics, and he continuously implements the highest safety strategies he learned during the course of planning, renovations, and major reworks. His strong attention to detail coupled with his ability to build strong relationships with clients makes him a very good asset to this company.

Sarah Farcut

Project Administrator

Sarah oversees the administrative function of the business and provides support to the project team. She is one of the most recognized and appreciated contract administrators and is known for her methodical approach. She is responsible for communicating with the clients, driven by her goal of getting 100% customer satisfaction every single time.

With over 6 years in the building industry, she has already mastered the art of communicating with people professionally, which makes her a very successful project administrator. Our clients love working with Sarah, and no client’s request, big or small, goes unattended with her enthusiasm and devotion to the business.

Damien Lawless

Damien Lawless

Site Supervisor

Damien is a veteran when it comes to supervising and managing construction sites. With 16 years of construction experience, he has built a successful career working with a diverse range of clients on a variety of residential and commercial projects across South Australia. And now that he is working with Lucy Commercial, he couldn’t be happier to be a part of the company’s goals.

For the past 6 years, he has helped to oversee the construction of hundreds of establishments and has played a significant role in ensuring all projects are carried out to the highest quality and within the agreed time frames. His practical knowledge and the ability to coordinate workers on site brought many words of praise to the company.

Bianca Farcut

Project Administrator

Bianca has over 10 years of experience in the property and real estate industry. As an experienced project administrator, she brings with her extensive administration skills honed from her time working in residential and commercial buildings. Her meticulous approach to work and attention to detail is evident in all the projects she handles daily.

Bianca is known to be an all-rounder. She is a hard-working individual who is passionate about her work and the relationships that she builds with her clients. Since starting her role at Lucy Commercial, she has quickly established herself as a very valuable member of the team.

Alex Farcut

Site Supervisor

Alex is a highly experienced site supervisor with a demonstrated history of working in the building industry for over 12 years. He has been part of the family business from the age of 16 and has undergone a very practical and rigorous hands-on training experience through a carpentry apprenticeship with Lucy Homes and Lucy Commercial. After which, he has been promoted through training at MBA to a Safety Supervisor’s Position and Site Management for the last four years.

This leadership position has demanded a very diverse skill set including in-depth knowledge about residential and commercial building requirements, renovation methodology, safety systems, and procedures to ensure compliance at all times. His vast knowledge and experience enable him to make appropriate recommendations that minimise risks and ensure a project is delivered safely and successfully.

Ralph Dowdell

Ralph Dowdell

Quality Control Manager / Supervisor

Ralph’s in charge of keeping our quality and safety system on track. He works closely with all the team across our multiple sites. With a passion for the industry – 30 + years in the making – and an eye for detail, Ralph is our go to for quality control, supervision and mentoring. His attention to detail stems from his 15 years as an Architectural Technician, creating plans and specification writing.

Ralph’s passion for the industry branches from his exciting portfolio, with previous projects including; Libraries, Schools and Health Care Facilities. With this experience, and builders licence BLD11049 behind Ralph, you can rest assured that your project is in the best hands for all quality and supervisory requirements.
